323 2016/8/3 Help~
Joy
PHILIPPINES
Hello!
Hope someone will help me...
I'm looking for a "plywood" store so I can buy it cheaper instead buying in daiso...
And is there a free Japanese Lesson here in Matsumoto??
My work is at 5pm hope to do some Japanese Lesson during day time friday to tuesday only if there is any school for that for Free hop you could tell me 😁

Note of webmaster: Hi,
As for a plywood, we Japanese usually buy such things at "home centers" like Watahan, D-2, Cainz Home. But, 100 yen shops like Daiso might sell cheaper than them.
Free Japanese Lesson is held at some community centers (kominkan). At the biggest one M-Wing, two free lessons are held but they are Tuesday night and Thursday morning. Ask multiple cultural plaza at M-Wing for classes at other kominkans.

Is there another kominkan in Matsumoto beside M-Wing?

Note of webmaster: Hello, there are many (maybe more than 100) kominkan if we count small local kominkan.
Some sightseeing spots are also kominkan and anyone can rent a room. For example, old buildings in Agatanomori Park, Nakamachi Kurassic-kan, Performing Arts Center are kinds of kominkan.
Also, you can rent a room in the citizen support center (2th of TIC near the Castle) free-of-charge if you are Matsumoto citizen and register.

Hi Andy, thank you for your help earlier on the Orange locations. We successfully completed the day trip last week and visited all the locations planned, mainly Nawate dori, Yohashira jinja, Matsumoto jo, Joyama koen & Agatanomori koen. The lady at the TIC near Matsumoto jo was really helpful, and we successfully gotten the two (manga and movie) location maps from there as well.

Jouyama koen was the most challenging (physically, lol) but the view that greeted us there was magnificent! Agatanomori koen itself was very pretty and well maintained. Thank you once again for your help. It was a fulfilling and enjoyable day trip!

Note of webmaster: It is our pleasure that you found out all the locations and enjoyed them!
Thanks for your comment.
Come again if you have a chance.

319 2016/5/26 Ticket refundable??
Lillith
CANADA
Hello,
Regarding the four-day buses and shinhotaka ropeway ticket that costs 12000 yan. can I ask for a partly refund if the ropeway closes due to bad weather? I am visiting the area in August and I think it is a really good deal. my only concern is the unavailability of the ropeway. is there a way to confirm it with the alpico bus company? thanks for your time and effort, I really appreciate it!
Lillith

Note of webmaster: Hi,
The Japanese leaflet (http://www.alpico.co.jp/access/ticket/pdf/panf006[1].pdf) says, it cannot be refund after you purchase it. It is a pass for buses, trains in Hida-Takayama, Matsumoto, Shirakawago Area and the ropeway, so even if the ropeway doesn't operate, it is not refundable.

317 2016/5/25 buses in matsumoto
maggie
TAIWAN
Hello, I'm visiting Matsumoto this August. I plan to visit Matsumoto castle and Joyama park. I did a little research and narrowed down to these 4 buses that can take me to Joyama park from the castle and back to the station.
市役所>城山公園:
【41~42】三才山線
depart time14:41or16:21¥200
get off at成山公園口
【45】アルプス公園線
14:06¥230or below
get off at開松
城山公園口>Station:
【40】三才山線
17:17¥200
【100】北市内線東まわり(11分車程)
18:58¥200

Can you take a look at bus No.45's fare chart? I don't really get it. How much does it cost from 市役所 to 開松?Where is 開松stop located, what direction and approximately how far should I go after getting off the bus? (I just need a general idea of these info~ Don't wanna get lost!)

As for 城山公園口stop, umm...where is it ?@@ Google map won't show. Just let me know if there are directions and signs nearby and I'll be fine...

Thank you~
Maggie

Note of webmaster: Hi,
I suppose it costs 210 yen from 市役所 to 開松 (probably). The map of the 開松stop is here (in Japanese) and it takes a few minute walk (to west) to the park.
The map of 城山公園口stop is here. It takes 15 min walk (to west) to the park.

There is a good viewing tower and a statue of cute child seat in the park. Enjoy it!

316 2016/5/21 Matsumoto - Kamikochi - Takayama
marcia
BRAZIL
Hi,
Our family plan to visit Matsumoto (one night), take a morning shuttle to a day trip in Kamikochi and continue to sleep in Takayama.
1. Is this plan reasonable (or maybe too much for one day?
2. Where is the best place to get info regarding the shuttles?

Note of webmaster: Hello,
1. If the "morning shuttle" means the direct bus departing Matsumoto Bus Terminal 5:30 a.m., you can arrive at Kamikochi 7:05. It takes about 1:30 from Kamikochi to Takayama, so you can see around Kamikochi almost all day. Even if you ride the direct bus departing the Bus Terminal 10:15, you can see around Kamikochi several hours.
2. "The best place" means website? If so, you can see the timetable here and other information here. If you mean a real place, visit TICs in Matsumoto.

314 2016/5/17 Taxi from ogizawa to Matsumoto?
Linda
NETHERLANDS
Hello!
We are considering taking the alpine route from tateyama to ogizawa. The last bus from ogizawa to shinano omachi leaves at 5 pm, but
Is it possible to take a taxi from ogizawa to Matsumoto in the evening (around 6 pm)? And what are the costs?
Thanks!

Note of webmaster: Hi, Linda
The last bus leaves at 5:55 pm from Apr 16 till Nov 3.
If you want to take a taxi, I think some taxis are waiting or you can call it. Matsumoto is far from Omachi and it seems it takes around 13,000 yen.
Have a nice trip!
