24 2016/3/4 shirahone hot spring
morningme
THAILAND
Hi,
First of all i would like to thank you for answer my question. I would like to ask for more questions;
1. It would be a better idea or not if i should rent a car for traveling from takayama-shirahone-matsumoto.(Is it difficult or dangerous to drive?
2. Which hotel do you recommend in shirahone between Yumoto Saito or Konashi no yu Sasaya? (Room, food and onsen)
Thank you

Note of webmaster: Hello again,
1. Umm... The road of Takayama-shirahone-matsumoto is narrow, old, and has many cliffs in both sides. I can't recommend driving unless you want adventure drive or you are skilled driver of Japanese roads.
2. I guess Konashi no yu Sasaya is much better, because it has private open-air onsen bath, locates in a quieter place surrounded by nature, and smaller Japanese-style building than Yumoto Saito. But, if you like bigger hotel and bath, Yumoto Saito Both might fit your preference. Both hotels are popular so I guess food are good in both.

THAILAND
Hi,
I plan to go to shirahone hot spring from takayama on this early april. But, i could not find the bus timetables. Could you please help me? Thank you

Note of webmaster: Hi,
There is no direct bus from Takayama to Shirahone. And before April 16, there is very few bus to Shirahone. Only one method is taking a bus leaving Takayama at 12:50 and get off at Oyako daki (14:17) and transfer to a bus to Shirahone (14:41). It arrives at Shirahone 15:53.
Sorry for your inconvenience.

THAILAND
Could you advise us about Tateyama - Kurobe Alpine Route. We are going to travel there on April 19, 2016 for one day trip. Can you suggest the package that route for us?
Thank you.

Note of webmaster: Hi,
I want to you ask you some questions before our suggestion.
Would you like to join a "package" tour to the Alpine Route? Or, just need a model itinerary?
And you want to start from Matsumoto (any hotel?) and come back to Matsumoto?

21 2016/1/31 bus from Matsumoto to Kawaguchiko

I wonder if there is a bus running from Matsumoto to Kawaguchiko? We will be travelling in May this year (2016). Thanks.

Note of webmaster: Hi,
There is a direct bus once a day, but it doesn't run every day. The website https://www.alpico.co.jp/access/express/matsumoto_fujikyu/ shows the schedule until February, so I don't know it in May.
If there is no bus service, you can take trains -- Chuo Line bound for Shinjuku(a super express train Azusa), transfer at Otsuki to the Fujikyu Line.

19 2015/5/1 Traveling to Matsumoto in Late May
Som
THAILAND
Hi,

I will visit Matsumoto during May23-24, before going to Kawaguchiko. My plan is to go to Kamikochi on May24.

Could you please suggest fruit picking farm nearby? Also, I wonder if there will be any local event during that time?

Thank you so much Looking forward to hearing from you.

Note of webmaster: Hello,
I think May 24 is the best season for Kamikochi. But, most fruits can be havested so picked in summer until autumn. Only strawberries can be picked at Kabochayama Farm (reservation required at Tel:0261-62-0187 / Fax:0261-62-0305) near Chihiro Art Museum.

As for local events, Norikura Highlands will hold "Opening (Plum Blossoms and Edible Mountain Vegetables) Festival" from 11am May 24th. Also much snow remains in Norikura and you can experience "Snow wall" by riding special bus. Norikura is near Kamikochi and there is bus service from Kamikochi. Another event held on May 24 is Nomugi-Toge Pass Walk Festival .
Downtown Matsumoto, May is a month of craft worsks and some exhibitions will be held in shops and museums mainly in Nakamachi Street.

Enjoy Matsumoto, Kamikochi, Norikura and Mt Fuji view from Kawaguchiko,

17 2015/4/6 The Light Up at Matsumoto Castle
Nuch
THAILAND
Hi!

We will be at Matsumoto 12-14 April.

I'd like to know when the cherry blossom light up at night at Matsumoto Castle?

And what is the official time of the train ticket office at the Matsumoto Station?

Thank you

Note of webmaster: Hello, Nuch
Cherries on the north road of the castle is lit up on April 7-16 6:30pm -9pm, as I wrote in
our cherry live camera page.
In the castle garden, Nighttime Cherry Blossom Viewing Event will be held April 7-14th, around 5:30pm - 9:00pm and I think cherries there are also lit up.
The train ticket office at the Matsumoto Station is open 5:30-23:00 according to their website.
Have a wonderful trip with cherries!

15 2015/3/10 Is it possible to see cherry blossoms in late April?
Ake
THAILAND
I plan to visit Matsumoto on April 25.

Note of webmaster: Hi,
You can see them in places at high altitude and north area, such as Mt. Hikarujo in Azumino, Alps Park in Matsumoto (maybe a little late because cherries might bloom earlier than usual this year), and Omachi Park.
