Hotel New Station is located a one minute walk from Matsumoto Station, making it easy to get around for both guests here for business or sightseeing. The hotel aims to be neither a business hotel nor a traditional inn, but has a style all its own.
Blending into the Matsumoto Atmosphere
Rather than the simple boxy look most hotel interiors have, Hotel New Station takes on a design that fits in with Matsumoto’s unique spirit. Walking around the hotel, one can easily get a feel for the atmosphere in this once castle town.
The hotel offers 95 guestrooms, each one warmly adorned with wood-grained furniture giving it a welcoming feel. Every room is equipped with wireless Internet, a service which we are happy to offer to all guests free of charge.
On the 6th floor is the Heart Room – a massage parlor.
The 7th floor offers a large carbonated bath called Tomoe no Yu, an ode to the building’s original purpose – a bathhouse of the same name. Follow the stone path down the hallway to the changing room, warmly decorated in commemoration of Agata no Mori, a small castle town located within Matsumoto. The bath space truly gives visitors a feel for Matsumoto’s history.
On the 1st floor is the hotel's restaurant, which boasts carefully selected local brews and an excellent menu made from locally bred livestock and in-season ingredients.
