Shamisen Geiyukan
三味線 芸遊館
Shamisen Geiyukan is a small hall, where you can enjoy shamisen music and hauta songs. Hauta are short Japanese traditional songs or ballads from the Edo period (1603-1867), sung to the accompaniment of the shamisen. Some are slow and romantic, others are fast and witty with lively shamisen music.
Live performance of shamisen and hauta are held every Sunday and national holidays.
