The Nakayama Cultural History Museum
Koko Hakubutsukan 考古博物館
The Museum houses various local artefacts and has a replica of an ancient dwelling outside. (One of two was Burnt down recently).
Of interest is the contents of a local ancient grave found on top of the nearby hill, Mt Kobo.
It also contains earthenware and stone tools from the Jomon period (8000 BC to 200 BC) to the Heian period (794-1192) which are displayed in chronological order.
